Ayr Choral Union is a friendly and enthusiastic choir of about 80 members , who meet weekly to rehearse, socialise and enjoy singing a wide range of  wonderful choral music.

Over the past 140 years the choir has sung classical favourites by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Verdi and Faure, and less familiar works by Poulenc, Pergolesi and Bruckner. Modern works by our patron, Sir James Macmillan, and by Howard Goodall, Karl Jenkins  and Ken Johnston have been recent successes.

Our musical director, Andy, has promised that this season’s programme will push and challenge the choir, balanced with giving us great enjoyment, singing with new stars of our opera and concert stages and some of Scotland’s best instrumental players.

Our concert season starts on October 27th with “Into the Light”
