Workshop for Bernstein Chichester Psalms 7th January

As part of the worldwide celebration of Bernstein’s 100th anniversary, we started our spring session with a workshop in Ayr Community Church on Sunday 7th January on the Chichester Psalms, Bernstein’s choral work sung in Hebrew.

Andy McTaggart, our associate conductor, and Ted Black led us in learning more about the work and  working our way through it. Having expert tuition on the Hebrew language was most useful for us and the work let more familiar in the following rehearsals.

We plan to have further workshops for future works – look out for the opportunity to have a taster session and join in with the choir.
